It depends on the website, but a lot of pages are hard-coded to be a certain width, so having your window fill the whole screen is kind of meaningless, especially if you have a widescreen display.

What do you mean by identical in ratio?

what i meant about identical in ratio is that a 17" iMac connected to a 20" dell monitor is about identical in screen ratio when comparing it to a 20" iMac to a 24" dell monitor. of course the latter setup would give more pixels total. this make sense?

The dock is set to a very small size, but judging from the size of the keyboard in relation to the screen, I'll say it's a 17". Of course, I'm not very good at these things...

Photoshopped. I find it hard to just take a picture and that's it. I always have to do something to it. It's like ... a bad (sometimes good) habit of mine >.<

Plus, I love that wallpaper by Kol. I just had to let it stand out somehow. It's so complimentary to the Apple OS (he's got a tonne of great ones at www.studiotwentyeight.com)

Desk is a cheapo desk I bought ages ago, can't remember where. The calendar is by GEO (it's like the French 'National Geographic').

They're LED tubes, €35 from Ikea, you can get them in white, blue and green. They've since been relocated to my coffee table.

I was sure you were using those neon mod tubes for computers.

At any rate I went to ikea a week ago before I read your post for some other stuff and found those tubes, purchased them and installed them. They work great!

Yay! My Wacom Intuos3 9x12 came today and I must say,

I can't believe how big of an improvement it is over my Graphire.
It's really hard to get used to such a big tablet >.<

Anyways, I had to rearrange my desk just to fit the beast in there
(err, at least, in an ergonomic fashion) so I figured I'd repost my setup.

(OMG it has color this time ... somewhat)

2. Logitech Z5500 5.1 Digital Speaker System 500 watts / Max 1000 Watts.

Can't wait to hook it all up. I have a backup Epson Stylus Phone R320, which will probably replace the HP 2575. I thought the resolution on the HP would have been better, and it wasn't listed on the box, so I took a chance.. and lost.

hehe.. Nope.. that's the resolution for the scanner, which is 2400x4800

Which is better then the print resolution.

Also, I hear the speakers are sweet! The only thing is... so I'm told is you have to buy a cable to get the speakers to be 5.1, if you don't use the speakers, you just get "stereo" sound. The cable was only 20 bucks. But once they are hooked up, I'll let you know.

They are nice though, and they have some weight to them, 60 pounds total weight.

The grey box looks like either some sort of modem, or else if I see it correctly, there is an audio cable going into the box, so prehaps an external audio card.

That white box is the power supply for the Cinema Display

The grey box is my Sonica M-Audio theater external sound card, capable of 7.1 surround, but I mainly use it to enhance the quality of my music at higher bitrates with my Sennheiser HD-595s.

The black box is simply a black box that's empty.

It actually came with my radar detecter and I need something to boost the cinema display so the displays are the same height. I was using two books before, but this looks better.

The white box is the cinema display's power block.

the Z5500 has a huuuge sub woofer, it looks as big as the imac 20' screen!

where are you keeping the satelites?

i have the $50 logitech 5.1's that they sell at sam's club, theyre decent, but now i am looking into getting someting with more kick, im trying to decide between the z5500 and klipsch ifi

i read that the klipsch is much boomier/room filling that the logitechs and as a bonus to me there are only 2 speakers which means less wires

nice setup, enjoy your mac!

right now, the satelites are on small coffee tables for now, until I figure out how to either hang them or find stands for them.

Umm.. I think the z5500 has BANG.. I mean the total weight of the speakers and subwoofer was 60 pounds.. and most of that is the sub woofer.

And yes.. it is BIG.. and the bass is wonderful and it has great sound. In fact, when I hooked it up to my old stereo, just to test it out. I went downstairs and my mom said.. "Oh, our speakers sound great".. and they were at almost the lowest volume.

As of yet, I don't have them hooked up to the iMac... I'm waiting for the optical cable, so I can get digital sound.
