In terms of sales tax, that it is. Would it be Orlando, FL, San Francisco, CA, Las Vegas, NV or New York, NY?

Starting from any of those cities, Delaware is probably your best bet, it's probably a 3 to 4 hour drive from NYC. NH would be a little bit longer, I think. You'd probably eat up most of your savings in gas, though.

None of those are states.

That's it.

If you have A9 Instant Reward (Save 1.57%), then you'd save another $ 15.00

Salem, NH. There is only one Apple Store in NH and it's in Salem, 10 minutes from MA. There are many malls in southern NH so the residents of MA can enjoy our 0% sales tax.

When I lived in Longview WA and shopped in Ranier OR, the cashier was checking ID to see that only OR residents got out tax free.

It is now tax free season in FL. Is there any way I can buy an extra Macbook battery minus sales tax? Batteries are hurricane preparations

It was posted in big letters, right below the Walmart sign. I didn't pay any state income taxes to OR, so why not?

With gas at or near $3/gallon in most places, how far would you drive to "save" sales tax? Isn't your time worth anything to you either?
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

Be careful, you might still owe use tax equal to the sales tax on that purchase in your home state.

Many states have added a use tax line to their tax returns where you're supposed to report that and pay the use tax. If you ever get audited they will make sure your use tax was properly reported as zero if that's what you stated on your return.

They can ask for credit card or bank statements to look for that sort of thing.

Pay cash? Better hope they don't ask for a receipt for that recently purchased computer you bought.

Going back to my original question which city would have a total tax of less than 9.5%? My dad & brother will be flying from the Philippines and be visiting the above cities. Shipping via web isnt an option cause shipping may be delayed.

I live 5 minutes away from Salem. My town is 98% white or something along those lines. But I think I know what you're talking about. There's a large amount of Hispanics in Salem and South Asians in Nashua, right?
