Some how i ended with a short cut to my My Documents folder on my desktop. I had a bunch of download files that I wanted to sent the trash, so I selected them and moved to trash. Then I emptied the trash. Thats when i noticed it was taking longer than it should, so I canceled it. Since my My Documents folder was in there and it started to delete parts of it.

So my question is there ANY way to get it back? I had a lot of downloaded stuff in there, but most importantly there was a ton of roto work I had almost finished in there. I have all the elements backed up, but not the scripts. HELP!

PS. sorry mods if this is the wrong forum for this.

Do you mean your documents folder? That should be in your home folder, not on the desktop. Look there.

File recovery software may be able to view the deleted files.

You didn't choose 'secure delete,' did you?

Apple lists some file recovery utilities:
The Apple Store (U.S.) - Prosoft Data Rescue II
The Apple Store (U.S.) - Techtool Pro 4

Note: not an endorsement. Just references for a starting-point in product research.

It didn't work. I tried a few kinds of scans, none worked. I guess I have to start over. Oh well.
