I've been trying to fix my OS X drives on my G4 and I can't get to the black screen at boot time to type fsck -y... I wait until I hear the BOOONG sound then I hold down the "s" key.. It never does it! It just goes to the smiley Mac and then to the login screen. I used to be able to do this with the Public Beta but not anymore.. is my timing off??
