I'm not using it.

Google is starting to freak me out.

This morning I looked in the mirror and faintly saw the letters G-O-O-G-L-E in the foggy mirror.

Went into the kitchen and made my usual morning toast and tea and there, in dark brown, burned into the toast was G-O-O-G-L-E.

Looked out the window to see what kind of a day it was going to be and overhead, in a skywriting airplane, was a guy spelling out G-O-O-G-L-E in big letters in the sky over my house.

Now there is the announcement that there is now a Google Service Pak to download.

Google is starting to infiltrate everything and it's starting to freak me out.

pack.google.com

Windows XP only... Nothing an advanced user wouldn't already know about, but I suppose it's a good selection for a novice user, especially AdAware.

I already know about everything in it, but I'll sure as hell use it! Norton SE + AdAware + FireFox, etc, in one package saves me a lotttt of time when I'm installing all this crap on someone's machine after a nice format c:

Wow, so Cubeoid you've moved from harassing me via PMs telling me that you dislike my sig to just coming out and saying it in random threads. Shall I reiterate what all my PMs back to you said?

1) First I would have to care what you think. Hmm... thats not going to happen any time soon.
2) Hmm... let me check my schedule. Oh, you know what, it seems like I still don't care.
3) Back at you. Stay classy Cube. I mean, what else do you have at the end of the day?

There you go, in case you forgot what I said last time.

As a network company they could be platform agnostic, but no, they choose to support Windows only.

What's the point of this package anyway? It's just the software Google randomly acquired thrown together with other random software.

It's software that Google feels would benefit its users. I actually half suspect it's just a way to get people to use Firefox and security software, with the other stuff thrown in to make it look like a sweet deal. Anything that can convince more people to stop being idiots is OK with me. (This would also help explain why they don't intend to do anything similar for the Mac — no point!)

I'd get a room with the Cube, except that would take effort on my part to actually give a rats rear end, as opposed to just randomly belting off random sarcastic responses to his nonsense.

I'm not even aware of a Google software package.
