app. to extract the camera from a DV file ?

Long story short, a friend's miniDV camera was stolen and we raised some money to buy her a new one.
Now, we don't know the exact model, but I have some .dv files that where filmed using the camera.
Is there an app. that will extract camera information from the DV file's metadata (in a similar way to the EXIF metadata found in digital pictures) ?

I'm really not sure. Try going to the Terminal, type "mdls", drag in the file and hit return. That will print out all the metadata Spotlight can see for the file,

It returned some cryptic attributes, "dv-file" and similar.
