...or has this been addressed in an update? The fact that you can't view and edit photos fullcreen was a dealbreaker for me, but I was hoping they'd fix it with a .1 version. Is it safe to upgrade from '09 yet?

I'm pretty sure it's had a functional full screen mode since release, but I just tested with 9.2 and the full screen implementation has all the editing functionality.

Photos have gone true-fullscreen for a while now - the bars at top and bottom fade out after a few seconds (but reappear as soon as you move the mouse).

When editing, that stupid, ****ed-up, idiotic, unmovable "Edit" pane will block the right part of the screen, and the bars will not disappear.

I really hate iPhoto 11's editing/show info mode. Bleh.
