Does anyone else using Eclipse on a laptop/lcd find that it ignores the system font antialiasing preferences? On my laptop, when you pick a font for the editor it displays it correctly in the preview windows, but in the actual editor it turns off the sub-pixel rendering so I get nasty blurred fonts.

In the above image, the lower 'AaBbYyZz' is the Eclipse font preview, while the upper one is the actual Eclipse editor window. You'll have to have an LCD to see what I'm getting at.

If other people are having this problem, and find it as annoying as I do, I'd suggest you vote for this bug:

Thanks for logging that bug. I've voted for it already. I also logged a bug on the fact that Monaco is antialiased when rendered by Eclipse in the editor (unlike typical OS X rendering of that font).

I'm now using VT100 at 9px because it matches up fairly similarly with Monaco 9px.
