You have to admit, it's stupid, and a waste of money.. but everyone has their own waste of money, and frankly I'd rather see someone wasting their money on liquid nitrogen and a pentium 4 than beer and drugs, but that's just me...

There's nothing wrong with consuming a lot of alcohol and drugs, you just have to make sure you don't do anything too stupid while you're on the trip.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that you haven't ever had alcohol with the intention to get drunk, nor tried drugs with the intention to get loaded. So, with that assumption in mind, I don't think you're in any position to speak.
