I have a new MacBook and a bluetooth cell phone. Is there anyway to use bluetooh or any other option to dial in to AOL or my ISP sincce there is not an internal modem?

Thank you for your help!

You could cancel your dial-up ISP and get a wireless data plan from your cellular provider.

Would I have to have a certain type of fun with an internal modem?

Most phones can do it. Unfortuantely, after thinking about it, most cellular data plans are closer to the price of broadband (if not higher), rather than dial up. You'd be better off buying a low-end broadband connection and a cheap wireless router.

If you use dial-up for connectivity on the road, you can either get a cellular data plan (and use your phone or a USB cellular adapter) or just buy the USB modem from Apple.

If you're located in the U.S., please see my thread on tethering to a Cingular cellular modem using Bluetooth, http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.php?t=257437

PS: I STRONGLY recommend that you get a 3G (UMTS or EV-DO) or 3.5G (HSDPA) cell phone. The difference in speed between 2.5G EDGE and 3.5G HSDPA is phenomenal. Dial-up isn't even in the same ballpark.

Go with sprint they have probably the cheapest and quickest data plan available. Trust me I can't live without my EVDO.
