Finder Icon View Not Refreshing

Yeah, I already searched on this.
Nothing found of any help sadly.
I have scanned a bunch of photos into a folder. The files are updated in real-time, but the icon view (or thumbnails) of the pictures are not.
Some pictures I have rotated 90 degrees using Preview and then saved them.
Unfortunately, the icon does not reflect the new orientation.
I have done things such as:
1. Get Info the file.
2. Get Info the folder.
3. Create a test folder and delete.
4. Exit the Finder and rerun.
5. Reboot the OS.
6. Delete the .DS_Store file from Terminal (it gets recreated naturally).
None of these seem to work.
Although Spotlight shows the file icons in their proper orientation.
Where are the thumbnail/icon images stored? Why won't this update in real-time (much less at all)?

This has been answered before. It's a QuickTime issue.

It seems that Preview doesn't actually rotate the image. It tags the jpeg that the display orientation has been changed - this produces a lossless 'rotation'.
Preview and Spotlight know about the orientation info, and display it rotated accordingly. The Finder and QT don't recognize this and show the picture in it's raw unrotated state. It's assumed that the Finder uses the QT engine for showing the picture thumbnails.
Rotate and save in a different application. Afterwards, everything will work as expected.

I'll find another editing program and use that.

I wouldn't do without lossless rotation just because of Finder icons.
