Apparently he doesn't give a crap. He's allowed to steal in his country by law.

Darn... now I have to rely on the old copyright breaking VCR! I wish that cable providers would provide the episodes only for their subscribers. It would solve most problems!

We're only allowed to share, by law, music and movies electronically, right now. Doing so isn't yet considered stealing here. Technically, we pay for the right to share this music through a levy we pay each time we purchase dvd's, cd's and mp3 players.

Yeah, I heard about that levy. So basically, you guys would pay $25 extra for an iPod. And this $25 would go to some Canadian copyright group, who would distribute the money further to Canadian artists, and this allows you to not pay for any music for the rest of your lives. Is that the deal ?
BTW - The iPOD levy is now gone I think.

Exactly!
BTW - the levy (I prefer to call it the "Save our Musicians" levy) is still there, but has been declared unconstitutional. Provided the appeal fails, it'll likely take a few months before the levy is actually gone. Even then, our laws still currently allow electronic sharing. That will change eventually, but until then I'll enjoy that freedom to the fullest.
Back to Supernova, I'm sure we'll see an alternative soon, though it'll never be as comprehensive as Supernova (by necessity ... Supernova's scope made it a huge target)
