I read somewhere (probably Wiki) that the word Fag (as related to someone being gay) came from the term "Fag boy." At private schools they'd have the head boy and they'd usually get some lower grade students to do grunt work. It was the younger boys job to make sure the older boys got what they needed. Traditionally, they got the firewood (fags) for the fireplace or furnace to keep everyone warm. But over the years the jobs extended from not just firewood, but cleaning, laundry, getting cigarettes, and eventually (though disgusting) sexual favors.

In Britain the word "fag" still refers to wood and cigarettes, while in America it refers to the "fag boy" in the most disgusting way. Fag boy eventually just got shortened to "fag."

you would have to manage something spectacularly idiotic to flip one of these things. A windshield, get a good set of goggles

You underestimate how spectacularly idiotic some drivers are! In a more realistic world you'd need some sort of certification to drive one of those. In this real world you should have a 360° all axis roll cage (or certification from your psychiatrist) before hitting the road with this.

I dunno. There's a lot of convertables on the road today without rollbars. Scary? Yes. But there are. Just look around.

A lot of roll protection doesn't look like roll bars. Most roadsters have individual protection shaped around the headrests. Some of the newer convertible coups have some sort of unobvious protection...

Although I wouldn't know for sure, I assume that the placement of the air intake for the engine would denote some sort of reinforced roll protection. Not a full cage certainly but enough to keep from scraping your face along the pavement if it flipped.

The Atom looks like a helluva a fun vehicle, but I could get a decent sedan AND a nice sportbike for 29,000 pounds. I simply don't have the kind of cash to drop on a toy like that.

Thing is you could get a decent sedan and a roadster for a lot less than that. Get a used miata, new engine, new suspension, and you're way under 29,000lbs.

err uh, pounds as in pounds sterling. I was referring to the cost of the vehicle, not the weight.

I believe that is how much they listed it as.

Cash's comment really doesn't make much sense though, maybe he did understand me but doesn't lbs usually refer to weight?

edit: I rewatched the video. "Prices start at under twenty thousand pounds" It is 29,000 for the as tested version with big brake pack etc. I have edited this post about 12 times

the price is definitely a barrier but for less than a lotus elise it doesn't seem that bad, assuming its street legal in your country. if its not you could get a 125 shifter for far less or a supercart for half the price.

Yes, I realize that. But a used 1st gen miata can be had for as little as 1-3 grand, and a parts for that car are cheap. Sink a total of 5-10 grand into the miata and it'd be a blast. You'd still have another 10 grand for a used acura TL or something.

No not really, that makes no difference to me. You just can't understand what a freaking ban is. All you do is **** up peoples posts, start flame wars, insult people, through temper tantrums like a 2 year old child, and piss a lot of people off. Then when you get the same stuff that you give out to people you cry foul and beg for mods to do something about it.

Actually im not doing this to annoy him, but to annoy the mods to keep the ****er banned. As I see it they have no choice as I have no fear of being banned now based on what I have seen with Rob.

rob will always be here... deal with it... the easiest way to deal with it is to ignore him... it's wasted energy, he rutinely de-reails threads, but if we all ignored him it would not happen...

ya its fustrating when you point out what his new nick is and they do nothing about it. I understand they dont have the time and man power to watch out for him, but seriously when others are telling them his new nick you figure they would deal with it.

It's more like everything was fine and dandy til one day tooki decides that he's going to enforce ban evasion, something that has not been enforced in the past half of a decade. I'm not down with that decision. Getting banned is annoying, but I can deal with it if I need to. Honestly, I'd like to just have a decent SN and not get harassed by stupid forum members such as yourself, and just post about cars and other random things in peace, but that hasn't been able to happen in a few years.

PS: Ever heard of a shift key?

Maybe you should stop blaming every one else and start looking at the cause which is you. Oh and btw I wouldn't blame tooki. Reporting you to him is like reporting a naked virgin woman to a gay man.
