Is anyone else's Sherlock dead after installing 10.3.6?
When I launch sherlock and try going to any channels it crashes.
I get this on my iMac G4 and iBook G3 both after installing 10.3.6.

Ok I guess it's just me then.
I did a permissions repair and nothing was found out of place.
I also tried trashing all of sherlock's prefs and it's still a no go.
Oh well, It's not like I use Sherlock all that much anyway.

Did you install some develop build of safari 1.3?
Or something adds-on to safari?

I think there might be something that causing problems in the webcore..

I use it all the time, mostly for looking up telephone numbers. I use the translation feature sometimes, when I just want to get the jist of what something in some other language says. AppleCare sometimes, to look up stuff in Apple's documentation.

Yes, you can do these things through the appropriate web sites, but I find Sherlock to be just a little nicer.

Anyway, back to troubleshooting. Do you have APE installed by any chance?

Could you maybe post the contents of the console and crash logs?

I've had a report from one of my users (of the UK Shopping channels) of the same problem: select a channel and Sherlock crashes. Have you tried trashing

~/Library/Caches/Sherlock
~/Library/Preferences/Sherlock
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Sherlock.plist

(where ~ is your home folder)? I would really like to know if any of these help!

Sherlock dead here also after the update.

Although I did have Safari 1.3 installed and had to revert back to 1.2 and reinstall the combo update to update Safari...but I don't see how Safari can have any link to Sherlock. But I suppose the JavaScriptCore has something to do with it.

That crash shows that JavaScriptCore was the culprit of the crash. So my guess is that you still have something wrong in there because you had Safari 1.3 dp.

And those directions on that link were not necessary (at least in my experience)...you just simply need to delete and replace the JaveScriptGlue.framework with a good one from another 10.3.6 machine (that did not have Safari 1.3 DP installed).
