This may be a dumb question, but....
I have a Rev B iMac System 9.04 with 160Mg Ram. I just purchased a VST USB/Firewire Drive. If I hook the USB port to my Rev B iMac, can use the Firewire Ports on the VST drive to download Digital Video and edit it with iMovie?
It's not getting what you want, it's wanting what you've got.

Nope, sorry.
I don't think so anyway.
First of all USB can't work that way as a bridge, you would need special software and hardware to do this.
Second the computer wouldn't see the FireWire camera, nor would the camera see the computer. That eliminates VTR.
There are a lot of reasons it wouldn't work but my head is hurting like hell so for the moment you're gonna have to settle for a 'nope'...
Sorry.

Thanks Cypher! I wasn't real optimistic, but it was worth a try. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that iMovie would work on any iMac, so I thought that if I could get the video from the camera to the drive, it might work. I forget that the camera and the computer have to "see" each other as well.
