I need a 802.11b router- I don't even need g
Has to have MAC address filtering. I have heard certain Netgear routers have had problems as of late. So if you can point one out around $30 to $50 without rebates please let me know.

I'll concur with the Netgear issues. I have a WGT624 v2 "Super G". It works perfectly ... but only with the matching netgear card. When using the built in "normal G" card on my user's laptop, the thing will reset constantly.

Unfortunately, newer routers seem more quirky than ones produced a couple of years ago. Reviews won't help you too much, as you need to find one that works perfectly in your particular setup. I do a fair amount of wireless network setups for my clients and I've found the same router to work perfectly in one setup and give problems in another.
The best thing you can do is find a place with a good return policy. Having said that, I've had the best results lately with Linksys.

I'd go for the D-Link DI-514, very easy to set up and use, I like it!
Also, if your concerned about range it does very well even through 3 or 4 walls in an all brick house with more interference than you can probably comprehend!

That is what I have found as well. I am not sure why but it seems in implementing 802.11g and trying to add more functions to routers the manufacturers are becoming relaxed in the stability of the units. Which is why I am trying to keep it simple and cut back on unnecessary router functions.

No rebates. That was the last thing I mentioned in my post.
