This may be old news to some but I've been reading about this beta program called MakeMKV Which will open any BluRay Disk on a Mac and convert it's contents to something playable on the Mac. The latest incarnation apparently Now allows you to stream the contents of that BluRay DVD (commercial and non) to your video player of choice (ie. QuickTime, or VLC) Without having to convert the contents. This means that it now in essence plays back that BluRay Disc in real time. Has anyone tried it???
It's Called MakeMKV.

It is located here and the Mac version is available on the download page. But ... it's Intel-only, and it is a beta.
Edit: quote from their support forum:

Friendly types. And it doesn't appear to be open source, so that leaves no way for us to fix it.

Well known, mostly works pretty well.
PPC is probably too slow anyway.
