As long as it is okay with Daisuke Yamashita, I was wondering if anyone out there more skilled than I would like to make an "icy red" variant to SIRO. My vision of this would be that everything that is blue in SIRO would change to red so as to match the close button of an unsaved document as it is right now in SIRO.

Here is an image of that button to help you get an idea.

I was thinking even a dark reddish colored selected menu item would look nice as well.

I would make this mod myself if I were able to... I actually did make an attempt at it, but realized that if I did indeed complete it, it would probably be so badly done that even I would not use it.

So if I'm not the only one who thinks this would be a cool theme, would someone with good modding skills like to make a shot as this? (With Daisuke Yamashita's permission, of course)

Thanks

-Haley

From what I have heard, DSKY does not like people modding then distributing his themes.

Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!

'Icy Red'?

What about 'Leafy Blue', or 'Sky Green'?

And yeah, DSKY doesn't dig mods (at least, not mine anyway ).

I would pay money for a dark SIRO (yes I know what SIRO means).

Or any other "versions" of SIRO.

Don't let the themers think that will pay for there work.. It would be like a massive themer's unity revolution...

Though i personally would like to see more mods of Siro be made.. though DSKY won't let them out into the public..

I might also add that a black Siro would be the hottest thing sincewellthat thread in the Lounge.

Yes, but a mod of SIRO in any form would be unreleasable...

Ah, okay. That's too bad... I guess I'll try to do it on my own. Again. Maybe go for a black SIRO with red highlights. THAT would be hot.

Thanks for the info though!

I think he won't let us post mods cause he can't comprehend a word we're saying. I say we send him an email in capitols so that maybe he'll understand it.

I emailed him in English and Japanese to ask for permission to distribute my mod of SIRO. I got a very friendly email back, in English, declining to give said permission.

Oh well, at least I tried! At the end of the day it's up to the creator of the original work.

Maybe if we all mass email DSKY for a red mod of SIRO he'll do it. It can't be hard to do.
