There does not appear to be a QuickTime 5.0.1 update for OS X. The updater just puts up a message saying the 'neccessary information could not be found on the server. Try again later'

I was just going to ask the same thing. I paid for a new QT 5.0.1 key, downloaded the installer on my OS X machine, and the installer ran in CLASSIC mode, and updated QT on my OS 9.1 partition. Uh, where's the OS X installer?

the version of QT that comes with X on the install disk is version 5. so if you are using X day to day you already have the latest version. (i believe 5.0.1 is the official release for OS 9)

Has anyone with OSX and Quicktime 5 tried to use the Media Skins sample on Apple.com? I tried it and nothing happened. It just opened up a new Quicktime player and sat there?

The QT5 that comes with OSX is not as complete as QT 5.0.1. I can't remember all the details, but i know skins were wone of the items NOT supported.
