I am debating about wether or not to get a smugmug.com account. Anyone have any experience with them? They seem to know their stuff.
I want to use the account for my portrait photography business and it seems like a nice setup.
Also, you could give me a referral and we'll both save $ if I sign up.

I'm a smugmug user and I've generally been pretty happy with them. In the few years that I've used them I have no complaints or witnessed any downtimes. They've just upgraded their systems and seems more java based. Seems a tad slower now then before but nothing drastic.

They claim to be Mac users and 100% Mac support.
I did notice some neat user interface "widgets" going on in some of the pages.
What do you use them for? Professional Account, Power-user Account, or Standard Account?

They seem to be a bit more professional (and slightly more expensive) version of Flickr. Not that there is anything wrong with that. It is a good thing.
I have a Flickr account and I think I will keep that for what I use it for. It has become an easy to update online gallery for me.
I am interested in the smugmug account for the sales aspect. It would be nice to not have to do the ordering and have them handle the money. Labprints offers the same service, but smugmug seems much easier to use,

They do seem to have more support and are more mac friendly then other websites.
I have the standard account, I've was flirting with the professional account but my photography hobby to a big hit when my twins were born. I find that I don't travel and I don't shoot as much as I used too. I do take a lot of pictures of my girls but nothing that would justify the higher account.
