The iTMS stock just went up, in my opinion, on this latest news release.

I didn't say it is a bad thing, but I want to get my music online,, when I buy a CD, I rip it and place it in a box in a storage and never see it again,,

It's *much* more fun to get Madonna stuff off P2P - you never know whether you're going to get the real file or a recording of her saying "What the **** do you think you're doing?". Adds to the excitement. It'd all be a bit boring if you could just get the file without the possibility of any of her rants.

The followng might be old enough news worthy of the ol' timeline, but I'm going to link to it anyway as it seems appropriate here.
What the **** do you think you're doing? Remix

If Apple would donate $$$ to her local Kabbalah branch I'm sure that she'd be happy to have iTunes deliver her music.
I remember when she came out about 2 years ago and said that she would "never" allow her music to be downloaded.

Does she still put out albums?
And you are wrong. You can download the Britney Spears-Madonna song from the iTMS.

Some people (Madonna) should know when to call it quits.
They should call it quits when they cannot act (Madonna) and they should call it quits when they cannot put out mainstream music (Madonna). I remember when she put out American Life and it flopped because she actually tried to put some self-styled rap into it.
Blegh.

Actually, Radiohead at least was pulled way before the Windows iTMS. They were only there for a short while.

I doubt that's why it flopped. Madonna "rapped" on one of her biggest hits ("Vogue").

I'm pretty sure it flopped 'coz it was more than a little anti-American (or, more to the point, the singles were). Old Madge decided that as a newbie Brit (hey, she had been living here for a couple of days) it would be the done thing to get a social(ist) conscience. Maybe that didn't go down well with her "Material Girl" fanbase?
