When I select an album or photos, then go to File > Export, nothing happens. I've tried restarting, installing the update, repairing permissions, rebuilding the library, and deleting the preferences but nothing works.
If you have any export plug-ins like Flickr, Facebook etc you need to disable them or remove them until they get updated by the developers. To do that, go to the iPhoto app in the Applications folder and click on it (make sure iPhoto is not running), get Info (cmnd-i) and in the info window select the Plug-ins section either remove or disable any of the Export plugins. Make sure not to disable any of the other plug-ins you see there. When you are done launch iPhoto and see if you can export.
I had a couple of export plugins like "iPhotoToGallery" and "Shutterfly.iPhotoExporter", but simply dragging them out of the iPhoto package and running iPhoto still didn't let me export.
My quick and easy fix was to:
- quit iPhoto
- go to the Applications folder, trash the iPhoto application
- empty trash
- reinstall from the iLife '08 DVD (I customized and just installed iPhoto)
