If new iPods are shipping, then obviously the new firmware has been tested and working....why won't Apple release the new software? Makes no sense IMHO!

Come on Apple...

My guess is that the new ones are shipping with 1.1 and that 1.2 will ship when iCal comes out since we can't use the calendar goodness without it...

That's just my guess.
Meh

Come on! I need 1.2 - itunes 3 supports Audible.com but ipod won't until 1.2 comes out. I have books to listen to!

BTW, I highly recommend you all check out the special offer for apple users at audible.com - not bad

The text of my Apple eNews says that:

"visit the iPod site later today and download the iPod Software 1.2 Updater."

Today!! Today!! Which probably means after 5pm EDT.

Me.

I love single word responses (although this isn't one is it)

I will have SU open all day on my Ti beside me while I am working.

I would love to see how many hits that Update server gets on a daily basis.. then see days like this.. anyone want to take any guesses? If under20% of us is using OSX.. maybe it's not soooo high after all?
