Cinema4D R9 Upgrade costs are absurdly high

	I just purchased C4D R8.5 XL bundle and Sketch+Toon in June... and yet Maxon is asking for 1399 US for XL and 595 US for me to upgrade to R9. The price is also the same if you're upgrading from as far back as R6... is it just me or is this pricing ridiculously steep? I think I paid 1899 for the XL bundle and 599 for Sketch+Toon for the original licenses. I'm confused. Anybody else upgrading?
