I have just bought the modem in the title which is a serial modem. Mac is running 10.2.8 and I could get online great without any problems, or so I thought.
Problems started when I woke the Mac from sleep and connected. It says the modem is dialing out but no dial-up noises come from the modem like normal and I have to eventually disconnect. The modem status in the menu bar then just keeps scrolling 'disconnecting' which I can only stop by re-starting the computer. I don't think it communicates with the modem after waking from sleep at all as none of the indicator lights on the modem change from that of rest. I've tried the 'modem' and 'printer' ports and its the same on both.
Anyone else had this problem and cracked it. I've checked the Swann website and their support is poor. They say its a current product but do not mention OS X and do not seem to have an e-mail link for support. Could it be OS X not supporting serial devices properly and is their any software that can fix this ?
