You'll need Silk and Tinkertool to change the system default font, no real theming needed.
Search this forum for Silk and you'll find many usefull tips on settings.
The font is Myriad Apple Text, read about it and find download link here. It is indeed a bit smaller than Lucida Grande.

That arguement is old and childish Gerrit Vanoppen.

Really there is no logic to making a statement like that whether it was on a mac or on a pc or on your tv whatever the picture doesnt change.

Be careful what you type man it may portray you as uneducated.

How does this change the picture just because it is on a pc.

I just cant believe the amount of efforts you folks can put into something that just leaves a bitter taste in everybody's mouth...

@Makki: Thanks, you seem to be the only one to actually understand wherein the real problem lies. I'm glad you arent infected by the "supremacy" syndrome

It's not supremacy. And if you were here for more than a few days, you might learn that. Most people here just don't care to see PC desktops, even if they try to emulate Macs.
There are websites for that and I said earlier, you can create your own thread for non-OSX screenshots and see if that lasts long.

And it works both ways. If I go to a peecee site and start posting my OSX desktop snaps, people are going to fire away with both cannons.

The fact that you the need to post 80 gazillion desktops enflamed the situation. Your later comments being such a jerk also turned public sentiment against you.

Now, rather than letting some rookie derail things, I suggest we go back to what this thread is all about: Displaying our Mac OSX desktops.

Since this is a mac only forum I guess I cant post screenshots of my new 3D-high tech-glow in the dark theme and desktop for my Amiga 3000.

Um...just kidding. Die hard Mac head here. My poor Amiga is collecting dust somewhere in the attic.

Rimshotdesign, I really like your icons, especially the ones for network/iDisk/Applications with the silver disc at the bottom. Do you have a link for those? I also like the Phantom one since I work on the show. I've made my own icon for my work stuff but yours has a very nice aqua shading on it.

Ok look here people, This is Mac OS X Customization thread for the Mac community not a place to score hits for your own site by coaxing people to go there.

DesktopRating enough with that already.

Don't ask? Aw, C'mon., man. How can you post such a cool DT and not expect everyone to want that theme mod (and icons, too)?

Any chance you might obtain permission from the original authors so that you can share these goodies with the rest of the class?

Please?

The desktop can be found HERE in several colour variations and is a promotion for Nuovozine (djlab's online magazine)

The icon is one I made on request by a developer for a family tree app icon, so no release on that tilll the app has been realesed (no name as yet) i'm sure it's no big loss to you

This is what Powermetal should have looked like in the first place. After a while I found the blue accents just too... much - and had to abandon it and return to Section-9 (great theme). If you are allowed to share, I'd really love this modded theme! Keeping fingers, etc crossed.

Yeah, I agree with crooner, that's an awesome mod, you can't post that and expect us not to ask!

Are those custom images, or are they combined from other theme? (if so, what themes?)
