This thread is just about a few (Which actually means a lot) of upcoming games I want, or am at least interested in. For any platform, PC, and Mac, just cool games.

Here's the list, in no particular order, all of them having comments...

Battlefield: Bad Company
The first that comes to mind... I LOVE Battlefield.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
I'm mad. Call of Duty 3 never came out on the Mac. Not even PC, so BootCamp won't work... Call of Duty 4 better be on one of the two.
Crysis
I can't decide if this is better than Alan Wake.
Alan Wake
And I can't decide if this is better than Crysis.
Grand Theft Auto IV
I'm going to love playing as a Russian guy.
Halo 2 Vista
Finally..... But only for Vista?
Halo 3
It WILL eventually come out for the PC, and then Mac with any luck.
Halo Wars
Looks awesome.
Stargate Worlds
Since Stargate SG-1: The Alliance had to get canceled, this will make up for it, I guess...
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning
Its been years in the making...
Untitled Dawn of War
I hope its not a Dawn of War 2. Not yet. Add the remaining teams then make Dawn of War 2 with planetary wars and ship battles!
StarCraft 2
I NEVER THOUGHT IT WAS POSSIBLE!!!!!
Guild Wars 2
Ha. I still need to get the first.
Lord of the Rings Online
I'm hoping this is good.
Forza Motorsport 2
Looks incredible. The trailer is incredible...
Spider-Man 3
I hope for some new form of gameplay here.
BioShock
Interesting enough. Living maps.
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
Here's another where I still need to get the first...
Devil May Cry 4
I only saw parts of the second I think, but I like his weapon
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
Awesome stuff!
God of War III
I always wondered why GoW II was only released on the PS2, I guess they knew this was coming.
Half-Life 2: The Orange Box
Yea, I want Episode Two...
Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix
Unexpected, eh? I'm a fan...
Untitled Indiana Jones
I have yet to see a good Indiana Jones game, I hope this is it.
Medal of Honor: Airborne
I haven't really followed the series, but the cinematic gameplay looks awesome.
Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms
Just because its an expansion. And I think the graphics for a game as massive as this are amazing.
Infernal
It looks cool, and its the first game I've heard of with support for the Ageia PhysX card.
Pirates of the Caribbean Online
Its another online game, should be cool.
Mario Party 8
Yea!!! Haha. Mario Party has always been fun
Resident Evil 4
Any game where you kill zombie-ish things is cool.
SimCity 5
This one hit me out of nowhere.
Spore
I'm not sure if its out yet, but I love the idea of creating a race from scratch.
Star Trek Online
Another online game. Fun enough.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
I'm glad Star Wars games aren't dead. And I think its awesome that this fills in the gap from Episode III and A New Hope.
The Simpsons
I wonder what this will be about!
The Sims 3
This should be very fun.
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
I think this may be out, but I'm putting it here anyways.
Tomb Raider: Anniversary
I'm betting this will be the best yet.
Transformers: The Game
I can't wait until I can turn from a semi-truck to a mech thing.
Turning Point: Fall of Liberty
I love historical games, but this one takes that even further with a historical what-if, traveling down an alternate line.
Unreal Tournament III
Total carnage.
Warhammer 40,000: Online
I love Warhammer 40,000. Love Dawn of War. Love FireWarrior. I'm gonna love this.

Feel free to add whatever other upcoming games you think are cool.

Kind of. I guess I did go a little overboard. But I had fun. Did you at least learn of any upcoming games you weren't previously aware of?

SimCity 5?? Officially announced or just speculation on your part?

I'm hoping they'll port Command & Conquer 3 to Mac. Great game.

Official, I hope. The site I looked at has a November 9th release date, only with no pictures yet. I could believe it though; thats far off. Here is the site.

Maybe. Maybe not. I'm not going to say anything. I'd be a hypocrite to say it will probably suck and then buy it when it comes out.

As a big fan of sports video games I'd say that a sports game is about as much like playing the sport as a WWII shooter is like being a soldier (granted in different ways).

In Madden, for example, you can design the plays, call the plays and play any position on both offense and defense at any time. Plus there's the fantasy aspect of taking on the role of a sports hero. Would I like to be Peyton Manning for a day? Hell YES! Will it ever happen? No, but in Madden I can at least pretend.

Well, all of a sudden I want to play Madden '08. Not so much to play as a hero, but to design the plays and switch positions at any time. I'd like to see how my plays fair against the AI.

I think it may have already sold a million copies in pre-orders. If it is available for pre-order yet.

I'd be interested in either of the Warhammer games. They had two for PS that weren't bad, just ackward to use a controller for a game that should use a mouse.

Warhammer 40k: Space Hulk was a good concept but the game play blew monkey nuts.

I tried Firehammer but couldn't get into it.

It's probably because I'm an old tabletop 40ker. I'd like to see it be a strategy, not a FPS.

Firehammer? Never heard of it. Unless you mean FireWarrior. One thing I didn't like about FireWarrior was how enclosed you were. There were certain paths you had to walk in most missions.

If you need a strategy game for 40K, look no further than Dawn of War! It has the original game and 2 expansion packs with another game in rumor. The Space Marines, Chaos, Eldar, and Orks were released in the first game. Winter Assault brought about the Imperial Guard and Dark Crusade brought both the Necrons and the Tau. The other teams have yet to come out, but as the Space Marines in Dark Crusade, you can build a squad of Grey Knights. There have also been many mods adding the Tyranids, Daemonhunters, Witchhunters, Dark Eldar, and even a mod creating Titans.
In short, amazing graphics, amazing game play, revolutionary squad combat and moral, and a good campaign. Dark Crusade has by far the best campaign, and its very very customizable. You can upgrade your leaders, play as any team, there is a map of a planet and you can select which territories to attack. Each team has home bases harder to defeat than normal territories.
It was the RTS of the year for 2004 I think, by many different sites. You should really check it out. Its sold in Wal-Marts, Best Buy, and many other stores, though its only for PC, so you'll need BootCamp or a PC or something.

You should also try Warhammer: Mark of Chaos, if you like Fantasy. Its the Warhammer equivalent to DoW, though released more recently. Therefore it has better graphics, you can zoom in more, and the intro is a much higher quality, almost life-like. And its awesome. But you can't build bases like in DoW, you just use armies. There's also no single-player skirmish's, to my knowledge, but there is a very long campaign, one for each of Chaos and Empire. It has the Skaven, High Elf's, Empire, Chaos, Orks and Goblins, and the Dwarf's are able to be hired as mercenaries.

The beta for D3 was only able to be played while online to prevent piracy. When Blizzard North shut down around 2005, all support for the beta testers ended abruptly.

I also heard that Blizzard said something was in the works, but they didn't have a time frame for it, just "in the next few years".

That trailer looks pretty cool. I wonder what game engine they're using.

I have to imagine bringing "balance" to this game is gonna be hard. Imagine Q3A. Then let one guy turn into a helicopter and the other guy turns into a car: is it now a fair fight?

my list is very short:
Forza 2
Halo 3

i like playing only a few games a year, but getting right into them and mastering them (opposite of what i used to be like).. Gears of War and Burnout Revenge (360) are my current games. i'm sick of playing thirty games a year and only ever being mediocre at them, plus i get fussier with time!!

Ha, pyrite. I wish I could learn to do what you're doing. Right now I have to finish F.E.A.R., C&C 3, Warhammer: Mark of Chaos, Ghost Recon, Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers (Its more of a technical issue that I can't finish it), and Medieval II: Total War.

Mass Effect looks alright, unfortunately I don't have a 360. I will say though, it resembles the television show Stargate Atlantis a lot. Commander Shepard resembling Col. Shepard and the aliens who come out every so often to harvest people sound exactly like the Wraith.

Agreed, COD4 is great. Not quite as good as Halo 3 online, but it is a fantastic game.

On a side note, did anyone pick up Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii today? I'm interested to hear what people think of it before I decide to purchase it or not.

I still don't have Call of Duty 4 yet, but thats because my computer is having issues. I'm just going to wipe it clean and finally install Vista. *sighs* PCs....

And no, I haven't tried Super Mario Galaxy yet. Don't even have a Wii. But man do I want one to play Galaxy.

Hello Gamers....

I will be getting my Macbook 2.0 Ghz soon and will up the RAM to 2GB + 512KB.

I was wondering.... when playing PC games... which is better?
Parellels
or,
Bootcamp...

I know Bootcamp lets you run Windows at native speed... does that actually help in gaming or Parellels also does a fairly good job??

Thanks everyone...
Regards, Ankur

You need Boot Camp.

Parallels has very little 3D support.

But don't expect the MacBook to be much of a gaming laptop in the first place. Its onboard graphics are horrid for 3D.

Yeah, Bootcamp is the way to go if you want to run Windows games on a Mac.

As for games. I'm really enjoying Bioshock wit the basic weapons and coooooolll plasmids. I think the first time through, I'm just gonna kill everything...

I also recently bought Assassin's Creed, but haven't started it yet.

So Mac User #001, have you played all of those games you were waitin' for?

Unfortunately, no, but I'll be getting my hand on it very soon.

I can't wait for Battlefield Heroes to come out! I read somewhere that the specs were supposed to be design for older computers, but that may have changed. Either way I hope I can run it on my Macbook via Bootcamp, crossing fingers.

Battlefield Heroes
Make sure to check out the video
