Wouldn't "prove" anything. Not to make this a Theological thread, but one my favorite dissertations (meaning one that I wrote) was written on pretty much the same subject; it was titled, simply The Requirement Of The Soul.

In it, one of the questions I posed was whether or not a human body could exist, live and breath without a soul -- a dead person brought back to life. There's actually a boat-load of writing on the subject, and it makes for quite interesting reading if you're into Theology and Philosophy.

19:30
Lot left Zoar and went into the mountains to live with his two daughters; he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He lived in a cave with his daughters.

19:31
One day the older daughter said to the younger, "Our father is getting old and there's not a man left in the country by whom we can get pregnant.

19:32
Let's get our father drunk with wine and lie with him. We'll get children through our father - it's our only chance to keep our family alive."

19:33
They got their father drunk with wine that very night. The older daughter went and lay with him. He was oblivious, knowing nothing of what she did.

19:34
The next morning the older said to the younger, "Last night I slept with my father. Tonight, it's your turn. We'll get him drunk again and then you sleep with him. We'll both get a child through our father and keep our family alive."

19:35
So that night they got their father drunk again and the younger went in and slept with him. Again he was oblivious, knowing nothing of what she did.

19:36
Both daughters became pregnant by their father, Lot.

19:37
The older daughter had a son and named him Moab, the ancestor of the present-day Moabites.

19:38
The younger daughter had a son and named him Ben-Ammi, the ancestor of the present-day Ammonites.

I like the Bible when it blames women for everything! Lot forgets his wife behind and is the only person old enough to buy wine!

Ok, got you now. So it was some biblical personage that rogered his daughter, I just had Noah pegged for it.

Well you didn't help much by denying there was such a story. Least I had some inkling as to an incestuous encounter with a well-respected biblical character.

Why is this even in question? Of course there is no such thing as a "soul" which people need in order to live and breath. You live, you die, you get shocked back to life and you go on living, there is no soul that goes off into the afterlife. Religions may suggest otherwise, but then religion is always full of imaginary, superstitious elements meant to comfort people.

That is an opinion you hold yes.

Certainly not backed up by fact.

So why are you treating it as such?

No, you aren't paying attention. You utterly failed to see where I acknowledged I was wrong in pointing out Noah as the incestuous Bible personage.

Go back a few posts, might save you having to reply to everything I say, and not looking too bright in the process. Or are you stalking me?

Yes after the fact that you had to be told 3 or 4 times, and STILL was saying it was Noah.

it was why Railhead said this

I am not the one looking stupid in this thread.

I've read the thread. He didn't deny the story happened. He denied it was Noah that it happened to.

But hey if you say he did, please show me the quote.

And no, I am not stalking you. You are being a jerk by blaming others for your mistakes.

Please quit it.

Good, I'll file it along with my other opinions like "The sky is blue" or "There is no Santa Claus".

The fact is that there is nothing in the real, physical world which suggests that there is such a thing as a soul, or an afterlife. These are concepts that people use to comfort themselves, but they have no scientific foundation.

More opinion. I can't argue with opinion.

If you follow that line of reasoning, I can say to you that I have a Rolls Royce, but nobody has ever seen it and I have no paperwork for it. Sure, anything is possible, I might have something unbelievable like that, but the fact is that there is no evidence supporting my claim.

Yes you are. I know it's you now. Only you used to "discuss" things like this back then. Photoshop groups? Remember?

Please don't deny it. It'd make my day if it was you. You haven't changed one bit, if it is you.

Ugh, I can't believe I got snookered into arguing with you. You were awful back then, and probably still are (I haven't used newsgroups in years now). You always were the most irritating person around, when it came to getting your claws into someone.

man, I was sooooo right about you. Pedantic to the last.

As to my actions, it pains me to even talk to you, but my actions are fine.

No, I don't actually. You decided to deliberately misinterpret, and not understand basic aspects of discussing things. In this thread I said, long before you got involved, that I was wrong. In the other thread, you utterly failed to comprehend basic English usage.

One last time. You're riding on the backs of others to carry on your pedantic behaviour. You know it. I know it. So let's leave it at that, ok?

I won't drag you up on the past (although it was a shock) since I'm a nice person.

And as anyone can read, turtle never denied said story. He denied Noah was the one from the start. He even told you from the start it was LOT. So do I, so did RAILhead.

Now who has the problem misinterpreting things or not understanding the basic aspect of discussing things?

And there is nothing you know about me, or my past to drag in Tito.

If you do, please share with the forum.

I don't care.

My only problem with you is, when turtle finally said "Wow, you finally got it. Amazing" you dishonestly BLAMED him for you messing up. Claiming he did something he didn't.

Something you STILL haven't fessed up to.

Why?

You owe both me and turtle an apology.

I doubt you'll do it however.

Can you explain what these two sentences mean? I have been speaking English for about 33 years and I truly do not understand your meaning here:

Or here.

And by the way, nice baseless accusation against KevinK you have been doing. Claiming to know him somewhere else and that you hated him then. He denys it. Why would he do that? KevinK as long as I have been on this forum (since Aug '99) has never done the things you claim.

You though, seem to have been deliberately misleading and vague in your posts which could lead to all kinds of misinterpretations. Your English grammer is atrocious too.
