Does Turbomax IDE card work in Beige G3?

I'm having trouble getting my new Turbomax card to work in my beige G3....I've put my drive on it and disconnected all the standard apple ide and still no recognition.

the manual says nothing besides B&W G3's...is there a problem here? does it not work w/ beige G3's?
