Hi...does anyone know how to configure AOL so that the little "IM" symbol does not flash in the upper right hand corner of the screen (in the application menu) every time someone sends you an instant message? I have some nosey teens at home and every time I hide my screen they can tell that I am talking with someone by the flashing "IM" symbol. How do you turn that off?

Many Thanks,
Don

That IM symbol is stored in resource ics8, ID 1900.
I just replaced mine with the a blank thing (on reading this post), so it just flashes the currently open apps icon, between that and a blank menubar.
If you want it, I'll email it to you.
I can make the thing flash whatever you want, so keep that in mind if you want something else.

I am aware he wants no flash at all. Is getting second or third place better than not running a place at all? I think so. If you can't have first, take second.
