I have a Mac Mini Intel Core Duo and just recently Stuffit Expander and Video Lan Player started quitting the second I opened them, I don't know what caused this, any solutions or suggestions would be great.

Have you re-installed them? Trashed their respective preferences?

Have you upgraded the RAM? Occasionally, defective RAM can cause this sort of bizarre voodoo.

Open the Console.
/Mac HD/Applications/Utilities/Console.app

Try to launch a quitting app. Either the Console will list something about what happened, or it will point you to a crashreporter log. Which the Console will also allow you to access. Click on the Logs tab to make the Logs column visible. Then /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/(application name)

Once you find the relevant text, please post it here.

What part of the report should I paste? The stuffit expander crash log is extremely long. Reinstalling Stuffit Expander and trashing the preferences did nothing either. Video Lan seems to be working fine again, but like I said earlier only stuffit and vlc were quitting, everything else has been working perfect. I wonder if this has something to do with Stuffit using Rosetta in order to run, because to my knowledge there isn't a universal binary version yet. Is there any other 3rd party applications out yet that have already been updated to Universal Binary, that I could use to expand compressed files that I download?

I just found the Universal Binary version of Stuffit Expander that's in Beta, everything is working fine now, thanks for all the help I guess that PowerPC Version that came with my Mac Mini was having issues with Rosetta...
