I'm excited to finally get a PS3 and have been waiting for the newest 80gb bundle to come out. I'm hoping one will be available when I go to circuit city or gamestop tomorrow--do you think they'll be sold out? That might be a naive question, but upon initial release a few years ago I've read there wasn't a huge demand and you could find them in stores. Also, its not as if the console itself is really new--just a new model. What do you think--do I have a chance of waltzing into CC tomorrow and picking one up off the shelf?

I don't think there will be a run on them, but I could be wrong.
I opted not to wait and got the less expensive 40gig model, no regrets here. I've been using it now for almost 2 months.

Walmart is having a $100 off any Blu-ray player INCLUDING the PS3 till June 14th. So you might want to check that out.

That's a really good tip. It kind of makes me wish there were anything worth getting a PS3 for.

You got a link for that? I didn't see it mentioned anywhere on their site.
Edit: Do you mean the $100 gift card? If Best Buy is gonna price match, does that mean they will lower the price of the 80gig model or just give you a $100 gift card?

That's great info exa1ibur. I'll check it out at best buy(circuit city doesn't carry the 80gb PS3 in my local store for some reason). I'm not sure I can get the giftcard deal though since there aren't any walmart stores in my area for Best Buy to do a price match for--dammit!
