is it just me or does iTunes 3.0.1 sound "flatter" and less "dynamic" then version 3.0.0?
Less CPU-usage = sound quality degration?
I am not sure, so whats your feeling?

I recall there being talk about 10.2 sounding flat in general, as if it were some kind of bug, and I've experienced it myself actually. I use iTunes connected to my stereo for all my music, and we were listening to it a couple weeks ago, and needed the volume a bit louder than usual. Didn't think anything of it at the time.

Then I connected with my modem, and as soon as the modem sounds kicked in, so did the music and it came alive - we both kind of jumped and I had to run to turn it down. It wasn't only louder, but it was clearer and more dymanic, like we remember it being pre-Jag. I'd say with some certainty that there is indeed something fishy with Jag's sound drivers. (dunno if it was addressed in 10.2.1)
Grrr...rawr.

My 'Purr' is wussy now...no bass at all. Did they change the sound itself? Everything else seems fine.

Yeah they definately changed the Purr sound. Maybe higher pitch and has an echo or reverb on it.
I hate it....now it is just as anoying as any other alert sound.
