I *just* took delivery of my MacWarehouse shipment, including our new PB17!~~~ I had to open the boxes to make sure everything looks OK (it does) but I'm at work which means at least 6 more hours before I can start playi... errrr, I mean setting up our new Airport network.
With the new PB, a new 15" iMac, our existing G4/450, and a 266 Tangerine, I'm hoping this doesn't take days. Wish me luck!

Congrats man, I know the feeling well. I was in the same situation you are. I have one piece of advice for you. Before you leave work download the information on how to perform a hard reset on your Base Station. You probably won't need it, but if you do and you wait until you get home the only way you'll be able to get the information then is to call Apple tech support. Printing it in advance could save you some time since you won't have to sit on hold to get the answer.

did you even read the topic, or do you just reply to every topic on the board, regardless of what they say?

Well, the first impression I have of the PB is that it is slicker than owl sh!t, as a friend of mine used to say. I kept turning my desklamp off/on just so I could watch it backlight the keyboard...
I uncrated the iMac and fired it up, but didn't try to configure it for AP networking yet.
I uncrated the PB17 and used it to config the AEBS, then connected the base to the G4 with an ethernet crossover cable. It and the PB are sharing the modem connection flawlessly, and it was easy to set up.
Next up is file sharing among the machines, followed by getting the new iMac on the network via AirPort card. After that it's time to get the old iMac up to speed and joining in the fun. Oh, yeah, and printer sharing.
Thanks for all the congratulations!
