I have an iBook with a serial number starting UV210. It has EXACTLY the same problem as the iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program is meant to fix, yet Apple has arbitrarily decided not to include it in the program.
Why!?
Just when we thought Apple was doing the right thing, it has decided to piss off some customers even more...

is this a newer or older ibook? i would imagine they are not including it because they are addressing a specific design flaw in that series of ibooks. older and new ibooks would have a different circuit board that (hopefully) would not suffer from the same problems. that's not to say that there won't be a few ibooks out of the range that have video problems of their own - just that they aren't caused by this design defect they are finally acknowledging.
i feel your pain though...

Did you give them a call to see if they would include yours? It might be worth a call. Maybe they haven't found the problem yet in ibooks in your serial range. Rather than get pissed about it and complaining, it might help if you politely ask them first. Let them know it has the same problems as what they define in the article.
