At College they use peecee's. Can I use a flash drive to transfer data from their peecee to my powerbook? I'm talking excel, word, macromedia stuff.
Which would you recommend?
Thanks

Just make sure you don't reformat the drive as HFS (the mac format) - keep it as MS_DOS and it should be fine.
I'd say they're all the same (except for the aesthetics) - but if you want a really geeky comparison see:

i recommend the sandisk cruzer mini. i have a 256mb version. other brands may have shapes (like lexar's jumpdrives) that hog up space. the curvy shape of the jump drive blocks the second usb port on 12 inch powerbooks. the sandisk does not. very small .. well built .. any bigger than 256 gets burned onto a cdrw to be transfered. when i get that ipod .. i'll see if that's workable =P

1GB Sandisk Cruzer drive for $100: http://slickdeals.net/#p4962
Don't think you can beat that, not sure if Staples ships outside the country or not though.

Wow thanks for the info it was very useful
I could only get the sandisk via ebay here in Australia.
Today I bought a Vmax 256Mb Pen Drive for A$100, which is a pretty good price here in Sydney. I will try it out at College tomorrow and the my PowerBook.
Thanks again for the info

I was lucky enough to get the Sandisk Cruzer last year, when it still had the option of using any size SD memory card . I guess the memory capacity is fixed now, but it's still a very cool option (a floppy killer, as it were).
And yeah... I have no problem using it with either a PC, or my Mac.
