I was just looking into getting one of the KWorld DVD maker cord setups and was wondering if Mac OSX supports this. The page on TigerDirect says only Windows is supported. Has anyone ever used one of these on Mac before?

KWorld Xpert DVD Maker USB 2.0 Video Capture Device VS-USB2800 at TigerDirect.com

Thanks for your time!

It won't work.

But there are similar items for the Mac (at slightly higher cost) from reputable firms like elgato.

I use to shoot video in SVHS and had to use a media converter. I used the Sony DVMC-DA2 which is a great little firewire device for the job. I think it's discontinued though.

Alternatively, some DV camcorders allow A/V in and out instead of just out. this can save you the trouble of buying a device and actually bridging the A/V input to firewire.
