As long as the individual files are less than 4 GB in size and the physical disk or logical partition doesn't exceed 2 TB, you're ok with fat32.
But if you want ntfs, just use Ubuntu to format it if you don't have a Windows box sitting around. VirtualBox + the Ubuntu iso will give you a virtual machine that can connect to and format your device.
