She got it yesterday, and she can't figure out how to get incoming calls to ring. The volume control says it's all the way up. General settings and sound seem to be where they should. This has to be a simple setting we are missing. Any help?

btw - yes it is a cool device.

Thanks

Does she actually have a ringtone selected? Maybe there's some odd quirk about her iPhone that has a silent ring selected, or "no entry" for what to use... She could also try selecting a different ringtone to see if the one she has is just not working...

Working! Thanks for the advice.

Actually, it was that the att store didn't tell her that it wouldn't be activated until the next day. Once activated it works as it should.

They probably didn't have any idea of how long the backlog of activations was. At least you got the phone. My friend went to his favorite AT&T store on the 11th and they were OUT by 10 am. And won't have any for another week or two. It sounds like both Apple and AT&T vastly underestimated how many phones to have on hand and how many they'd have to activate at the same time.

That issue was resolved easily, and now that she has used it for awhile we both agree it is an amazing device. And the app "bubblewrap" has been quite a hit. 169 points is the high score so far.
