I have a PowerMac G5 Dual 2.0 running OS 10.3.6. I have 2 external firewire drives setup as a Level 1 RAID (mirrored) using the built in Apple Disk Utility. I have checked "Ignore Ownership on this Volume" in the RAID's "Get Info" window. I also have an iMac G5 on the same hardwired ethernet network. The user of the iMac is set up as an "administrator" level user on the PowerMac. My problem is that every so often, the iMac user is no longer able to access files and folders on the RAID if said files or folders were originally created by the main user of the PowerMac. The iMac user is definitely logged on and authenticated by the PowerMac. The status of the RAID in disk utility is good. Disk Utility will not allow me to do a "Verify/Repair Permissions" presumably due to the fact that it is a RAID setup. Do you know of any solutions?
