Now, while that whole topic was brought up by a troll, it did strike me as interesting.
I seem to remember a study that was done in the early to mid-ninties. I don't remember who did the study, or what the exact intention was, but one of the results was that they determined that women did indeed prefer the Mac OS over Windows.
They felt that the Mac was more intuitive, and gave them more of a feeling of mastery over technology. I personally would agree with this, Mac OS is more intuitive than Windows, always has been, and I don't see that changing any time soon.
I'm wondering if anyone else remembers this study, or has an opinion about this.
(Hmm, someone in a MACNN forum with an opinion??? Never happen!!  )
While I certainly wouldn't think that either Macs or PCs are 'for' a specific gender, I have no problem using a 'girls' computer if the reasons girls would prefer it are such good ones.
