Hi All --

Just wanted to check to see if this issue is showing up with anyone else......As i am opening a document, the preview of the document does not show up in the preview window. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Are you talking about the 'Based on Recent' category of Project Gallery? I don't get previews of Word documents (just the generic document icon), but I do see previews of PowerPoint and Excel files.

Scarab --

I don't get either previews of Word documents or the generic document icon. I have not yet tried either PowerPoint or Excel files but will do so.

Thanks!

Scarab --

Just checked and issue is the same in Excel and PowerPoint -- I don't get either previews of the documents themselves or the generic document icon. Any thoughts are appreciated.....Thanks!

First, are you really talking about the Project Gallery? [edit: sorry if this seems like shouting but I am just emphasizing.]

If so, I do get previews of the first page of PowerPoint and Excel documents in the 'Based on Recent' category for the Project Galleries of all the Office apps. I don't see previews of Word documents though.

No....I am referring the preview screen that comes up when I choose File, Open, and then "document XX." Sorry for any confusion that I may have caused......Thanks!

Hey PismoMan, is there still that problem you were facing? If there is I would be glad to help (or at least try to).

You have to turn of document previews individually for each document by going to "File | Properties..." and turning the "Save preview picture" checkbox on.

Thanks.....I think. Seems a bit awkward but looks like it is the only way to get the preview to work. Thanks!!
