I have had some trouble with the mouse getting "stuck" in a single orientation, in other words the cursor ONLY moves horizontally or vertically. The first few times it happened I pressed the reset switch and when it restarted everything worked normally. Lately I've found that if I unplug the mouse from the keyboard and then plug it back in it will "fix it". Has anyone else experienced this odd problem?

There was an Apple Tech note about this problem a while back, and it said that if this happens, call Apple's support line, and they will send you a new mouse. I have had this happen very rarely to me, but I have found that jaring the mouse will also fix the problem. I drop it on to my mousepad from a few inches off the table and it usually fixes it right up.

Thank you both! Read the TIL and will be calling Apple to see what they say. Merry Christmas!
