okay, folks. i've got the will, so there has to be a way to do this...
i have a kodak dc290, which is a great little camera, and it has a/v out (to allow it to display pictures and such to a standard television). i would LIKE to use this ability to use the camera as a webcam (well, when i'm not using it for anything else, that is).
my computers at home consist of a pismo powerbook, imac dv (1st generation graphite), a powermac 7300 and a powermac 6400.
unfortunately, none of those computers have the old-style video-in jacks. buying an analog-to-DV bridge seems way too pricey to essentially make a webcam for either the powerbook or the imac. any suggestions of either a usb adapter device or a cheap used pci card that i can look for to grab this signal? the camera outputs to standard yellow & white rca plugs, so i need something that those can wotk with.
any ideas???
