My vote would go for Guten Tag.

It's a strange choice - especially when you know that Steve and Phil are going to get up at the next MacWorld and talk about 'bunjewer' and make the french-speaking world cringe.

Any, I can throw my vote in from the OSOTW and make the assumption that all Americans are NOT idiots. Half of American voters DIDN'T vote for Bush first time around...

I think "Passport" should be the name: it's an international word, it actually describes the function of Rendezvous, but it probably is already choosen for another technology. Quark?

Maybe not you, but I imagine many many people are quite familiar and would use the word RONDAYVOO (perhaps that can jog the memory) in everyday English.

Actually, 'rendezvous' is not proper. 'Rendez-vous' is. And for Pete's sake is Bonjour, not Bon Jour....

How do you know?

One means "Good Day" and the other means "hello".

Which is Apple going to call it?

Nobody ever says Bon Jour in French, ever. That sounds just weird.

I know a lot of very intelligent down-to-earth Americans. Unfortunately, you're not one of them.
Uh... 89 million of Americans voted in 2002 ( http://www.census.gov/Press-Release/...ng/002278.html ), similar amounts voted in the 2004 elections. This is out of a population approaching 300 million. No where near 50% of our country expressed an opinion on who they wanted to be President either way.
