Hey there! Has anyone out there heard of or tried out an image app. call PhotoReTouchPro from a company called Binuscan. Would it be a good alternative to PhotoShop? According to the company's website it's Cabonized for OS-X, released back in September/October and it does accept popular PhotoShop Plug-Ins. Any opinions out there. Check out their web site http://www.binuscan.com/prp/index.html

Apparently they are having a special sale of this app. while they are showing at MWSF $200.00

Any & all opinions appreciated.

Sorry M.G. but the alpha was released much-much earlier those that participated got the Carbonized version for either free or next to nuthin'.
It comes across to me as a fairly strong app. much like that of Asiva Photo(http://www.asiva.com/photo.html)

Yes it could be a alternative to photoshop but it depends on what you do. If you are a prepress-professional you will like ReTouchpro. Some funktions like color correction and CMYK separation as "good" as in Photoshop if not better.

If you are working a lot with scanning and color correction it will be a great app.

Thanks Solitere for the feed back! I was thinking that this app. would be good for color corrections(red-eye, some effects, and so forth). If you have any experience with this app. or even the Asiva app. please email me as well. I may have more questions. And by the way how cold does it get where you live?
