I'm trying to import some spoken word CD's. The discussions on the CD's are divided into tracks of 1-5 minutes apiece. Importing is smooth but playback reveals a problem.

The last few seconds of each track are cut off. During playback, I hear the track gently fade away simultaneous with the next track starting up (i.e. the 2 sounds are superimposed on each other).

This is not good since there are key explanations of the topics being discussed in those last 4-10 seconds.

I have varied the import settings (MP3, AAC, with and without error correction) to no avail. This did not happen to me in the past with spoken word stuff on CD.

Anyone know what to do?

Look in your preferences and turn off cross fading.
