I have a stock Mac Pro, recently my friend offered me a good deal to trade in my 20" Viewsonic with a opened box Dell WFP3007 at a unbelievable price.

I'm curious how well does the stock 7300GT will handle the 30" giant. I'm doing graphic works mostly. With occasionally gaming in bootcamp. Best if there's someone with same setup give me some feedback.

Thanks in advance!

Well, obviously you won't be able to game at the Dell's native resolution on a 7300GT. Other stuff should be fine.

Works fine. Running a 3007WFP with my Mac Pro. Runing in tandem with a 2007WFP.

I forgot to mention that only one of the 7300GT's DVI ports is dual-link, so just make sure you hook it up to the right port.

yes, I aware on the dual-link DVi port. Meaning the stock card will only support 1 30" display at max resolution.

The 7300gt in my mac pro does a fine job of driving my 30" apple cinema display (No games). This stock video card eases a little bit of the pain of buying pricy ram.

Just thinking, couldn't you plug in an additional 8800 and use WIndows on that resolution ?
