I need to see what these old Mac minis have for thermal sensors. If you have access to a PPC mac mini (ideally running 10.5), can you run the program Temperature Monitor

Then take a screen shot of the main Sensor Overview window and upload it, like so:
(this is from a mac pro, not a mini)

{Please note your processor type & speed to avoid confusion}

I'm not interested in your actual temperature readings, I'm interested in how many different sensor readings the G4 mini's report. I might try going with an old G4 mac mini for next year's "ColdMac".

So that's a bit of a dead-end. Any 1st generation intel Mac mini owners want to chime in? I'm talking about CoreSolo & CoreDuo models. Also from this point on, can you write what kind of mini you have when you post screen shots, to avoid confusion.

This is from an Intel Mac Mini, model MacMini1,1, with a Core Duo 1.66ghz processor. Bought this Mini in March 2006.

I've got a PowerPC Mini around somewhere too I could test with later.

So I guess that's it then. Only intel macs have a full set of thermal sensors.

Or the ones they do have aren't being read by temperature monitor.

I just downloaded to see what happened on my Macbook (2007 C2D 2.16GHz)

When I installed it I had the temp list with this

and also this window

I installed that, and the list had CPU core 1 and core 2 added to the list

It'll be much easier if you just comply.
