(I realize this may not be the right forum, and that Safari is a buggy beta)

I've been trying to use Safari for XP, but it does something which is very obnoxious and makes it unusable: all of my preferences (toolbar settings, homepage, etc) are reset after every relaunch of Safari. So I can't customize it at all. I tried installing Safari 3.0.1 but this doesn't solve the problem.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just me?

Mine remembers the homepage, the order of the bookmark bar etc. This worked on .0 and .0.1.

My major gripe is every time i start it, it seems to just wait for 20 seconds before loading the page(tried many different sites and its the same thing). Almost as if its trying to get an IP address or something. FF or IE doesnt do this so not sure what Safari is doing...

Neiter of those problems occur on my PC, but I set the home page to be blank.

I just uninstalled it and installed it again, same problem. Are there some preference files or something else that I should try to delete manually?

Probably it's something in the Registry.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
